New from AWS (Adventurers Workshop), we've teamed up with Cycra Racing and Hamblin Iron Works to develope our own Patent Pending attachment method to mount the Cycra Racing handguards to the BMW R1200GS/GS ADV for years 04-07 (08 and 09 are being fitted).
Our attachment method allows the rider to install the Cycra Handguards to their bike while retaining the STOCK/OEM bar end weights on all BMW R1200GS / GS ADV bikes. Future applications are being considered.
They will also work with the Kaoko Cruise Control installed!!
I'd like to personally thank Shawn, owner of Hamblin Iron Works who took our design and thoughts and made them a reality. He is the man!!!
No more girlie man plastic handguards for your bike. Besides they always seem to break at the first fall. You can replace your broken handguards at over $150 per side or you can upgrade them to our complete set for $219.
We have teamed up with Cycra Racing which develops, and builds it's products all under the same roof in Hebron, Ohio. From the CNC machine shop, state of the art paint facility, plastic thermoforming, and injection molding.
These handguards are not bent pieces of aluminum like almost every other handguard but rather cut from a solid piece of billet to ensure superior strength throughout the design. :wink:
We chose Cycra for this reason alone as almost all handguards have been built for 200-400 Lb. motorcycles. Cycra Racing hanguards and have tested with a fully loaded BMW R1200GS Adventure with no failures or compromises.
