New dealer in Tunbridge Wells

I heard from a good source that the bike dealership in Tunbridge Wells is going to re-open. The old L&C one, anyone else know anything about this?

I bought my 1150GS second hand from L&C, rang up 2 weeks later to check on availability for some spares and was told 'sorry sir, we don't do bikes any more'.
Probably explains why I got such a good px deal on my ZZR1200, the guys new they were being dumped and were in a position to do me a favour. I never got a chance to say thanks.

Yes i've heard that a new dealer is on the way to Tunbridge Wells - Inchcape using the 'Coopers' name...?

Good news if it's right.....with a new dealer in Dartford and a new one in T.Wells, it'll give us a bit of choice and the competition should keep service levels up

I think Coopers are trading from the old L&C building in T/Wells, I had a look earlier and they seem to be a multi BMW franchise in the south east, but according to their web site only sell blikes from their Reading showroom.

I seem to remember a BWM article that said that there were more BWM bike dealers in the UK per capita than anywhere else in the world. I therefore doubt that TWells will get one as there is a dealer in Caterham which is in BWM terms just around the corner.

The guy who told me was Brian Giles who used to be the Chief Mechanic at L&C before it closed, he runs his own BMW servicing company now. Hence I think it is a pretty good source of information.
