Just over 4 weeks ago, I met a blue Ford Focus in a junction and guess what, I lost

We, that is me, the workshop foreman and the insurance guy agreed to replace the engine since the right hand cylinder had been too severely damaged :( For me, this was the best solution, obviouly.

So far so good :)

Then I gets a phone call from the dealer and he informs me - wait for it - BMbloodyW don't sell replacement engines any more :spitfire what the f*** is this all about

"We have to order all the bits from the parts catalogue and then put it all together ourselves" said the voice on the other end of the phone and it then went on say that this was news for them as well......

Is this a Viking/Norwgian thing or is it the same everywhere??

Waiting time for me goes up, hours for the dealer goes up, price to the insurance company goes up and of course, profit for BMbloodyW goes up......

And I give up:blast

Yes its a Viking thing. Germans dont like you because your women are prettier, your scenery is more interesting and most of all you don't have to border France, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Austria and Czek Republic and Switzerland.... and you speak English well.

get your insurance company to come up with a better offer to scrap the bike, buy it back and get a second hand engine and replace it yourself or buy the new GS800 in a couple of months without the silly cylinders sticking out.
