Hi all,

I am picking up a 2017 model next week, it's keyless, in the process I am P/X my triple black which came with a tank bag, as I understand it won't fir it's going with the bike. The question is, what do I replace it with? All advice gratefully received

ive just put a brand new bmw gsa one in the for sale section if it helps:thumby:

Givi Tanklock or SW-motech version of tanklock. Makes life so much easier when refilling or stopping at the cafe on your EUropean jaunt.

I've just bought the SW Motech GS 16-22 ltr one. Great bit of kit. Look around for best prices though. I got bag and ring for keyless for less than bag retail.

I've the givi bag with the tank ring. Best tank bag idea. No faffing around with harnesses just clips on and off. JJH

The touratech ones are good (size, waterproof'ness, ease of attachment etc.) but 'fret' the central tank panel underneath - recommendation - get some of that non-slip matting/helicopter tape... or buy one of the other makes :-)

I use the Wunderlich Elephant, it's a good bag but needs the fitting harness which is extra...

SW Motech and tank ring on my bike, it's excellent, and the bag doesn't touch or rub on the tank, easy to release when fuelling, I keep swopping it from old bike to new bike.

However if you fit SW Motech and your bike is keyless, make sure that you fit the bag that has the extra clearance on the underside of the mounting plate or it can rub the paint off your tank filla cap lever. If you buy an earlier S/H version you can grind some of the plastic away from the underside of the mounting plate and it works fine.
