Hi all

Im looking to get back on a GS and in this case its probably gonna be a GSA.

It'll be bought in the most part as a company bike - bike instructor and other bike business ventures planned and will be purchased on BMW Select.

Its brand new with all the toys and packs except an alarm and comes with the free panniers at the mo - all in including full tank fuel for £11500 - good deal?

What else should i be asking for in the deal?

From an asthetic point of view..............Magma or Magnesium? Im swithering magnesium but perhaps too bland?

What other extras dealer or otherwise would you fit on this bike? Bear in mind that i will never 'buy it' at the end for myself so dont want to add too much.

I also thought about the enduro package as i do ocassionally venture off the beaten track for fun and rough camping etc - how much shorter is the 1st gear and what are TKC80's like on the road?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dave :)

If it's got both dynamic and premium packs I'd say that's a pretty good deal. To get the price down slightly you could try going in for a bike without the packs and let the dealer talk you into them at a price that's acceptable to you.

Also, you want to get the 600 mile service thrown in for free and see if their prepared to throw in items stocked within the dealership such as gloves, locks etc.

My new GSA has the short first gear option. Compared to my old GS, I would say it makes a load of difference...slow speed control is much improved (no need to slip the clutch) and the gap to second is not excessive. I would not order a GSA with the standard first gear.
Good luck with your new bike....Mine is great!
