Hi all,
as you have propably guessed by the title I am embarking on a new quest for an even better steering setup.
I have purchased a magura x-line bar and adapters for oversized bars which I have had to machine slightly to fit the GS's assymetric bar-clamp screw-holes (phew). As some of you already know this not my first handle bar mod so I am translating knowledge across. For the benefit of those who dont know, the problem is thus; you can straight swap the handle bars for 22mm one from Renthal etc but what do you do about the OEM hand-guards and the heated grips?
The solution lies in some very nifty stainless steel bits I have had machined for more info and kewl pics visit my website . (There are some among you that have bought a pair off me and I would very much like to hear of how they are holding up.)
This is just a teaser of the project to be completed over the next few weeks. There is one question to anybody that has the X-lines, are the etched reference lines centered on the clamp bit of the bars? mine seem to b slightly shifted to one side. I can see this getting annoying come install time.
