New Insurance - Restrictions

It is vaguely amusing that Bennett exclude:

But then go on on their website to promote the very things their policy does not cover:

The true irony though is that some of the trackdays are a prize in a Bennetts competition.

“Congratulations, bikermate, you have won a track day”

“Well chuffed. Awesome”

“Hello Bennetts, I were giving it the beans on yer track day I won. I drifted it into the corner, when I sort of fell off, perhaps it were diesel my mate says and now me awesome is in like a hundred pieces. Gutted. Need to claim”

“Track days are excluded. Goodbye and thanks for insuring with Bennetts. By bikers, for bikers”

Richard, would you please stop it now!!! I am in stitches here :jes

The OP any minute now

The only part of the German Autobahn that is classed as derestricted is the left lane as far as i understand it?
so therefore if you are unsure, stay out of it.

or risk it for a biscuit ;)

not your fault but complete and utter bollocks like lots else in the thread, German autobahns are public roads part of the German road network insurance is required to drive on them, you covered regardless of what some uneducated muppet on the end of the phone tells you.

your not just covered depending what lane your driving in? Are there really people here who actually believe that Bennett's etc can issue a policy that only covers some public roads but not the ones they dont want you to ride on? be honest do you really believe it, because if you do then you are WAY to stupid to be riding a bike in the first place, sorry if you dont like but hey, learn to fucking think
Insurance is issued as required by law to cover you for the minimum required on all public roads (in this country those covered by the road traffic act). Insurance companies dont get to pick and choose which ones, part of the The Mulsanne Straight is a public road when not close to be used as part of the Le Mans circut for the 24hr race they cant remove cover for driving on that either

I wonder if the OP has managed to get his exclusion list amended yet? Or even if his efforts by way of enquiry, have done nothing more than seeing the exclusions expanded even further?

Anyone visiting the Isle of Man better check their policy wording carefully. Or avoid the Mountain.
Not just the mountain road...quite a lot of derestricted roads here...I would only be able to ride two hundred yards in either direction from my drive ;)
