1- why won't it save this sites log in details password etc?
2- how you delete music you no longer want?

bought this as a replacement for the laptop that went tits up and think it's going to take some getting used to.

It does, or at least it should. Mine does.

IIRC you have to connect it to iTunes on a computer

That may be the problem, its an iPad not a PC

You can delete songs directly from the iPad - just swipe on the song title - from right to left - and a "delete" button will appear.

It will remember log-in details - mine does.

It will take a while to get used to. If you see an iPad as a laptop substitute, you'll always be frustrated by what it can't do. If you see it as a smartphone on steroids, you'll always be amazed at what it can do.

:D

I read that U2 was some sort of auto download built in by Apple. They had to write a specific removal tool program thing due to customer complaints. Not everyone likes U2 it seems.

in iOS7 you need to delete each song individually, but i think i read somewhere this has gone back to a bulk delete option in iOS8 :nenau

hardly use my macbook these days, but use my ipad a lot. it used to be the other way around.

use my imac more than either though ;)

It's on 8 and I'm getting used to it now as I find my way around it. Still doesn't seem to want to save this password but then got tapatalk so no biggy.

If your iPad is not saving passwords then check that you don’t have Private browsing on: it appears in the bottom left of your screen when you open Safari - it’s should be blue type on white back ground (which means it’s switched off) but if it’s white type with a blue background then it is switched on, just tap it to toggle on/off.

PS If you’ve set your home screen to go to a favourite site then you will need to ‘x’ out of it in order to get to the Favourites display.

Also go into settings/safari (assuming that's the browser you're using) move down to 'passwords & autofill' and ensure the option is selected to save names & passwords (little button to the right should be green). Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but also ensure there is a tick in the 'remember me' box to the right of the log in details.

I had same issue that it didn't save password simple fix. It doesn't recognise it if your browser is set to private, in safari knock it. Off and hey presto
