I had my fuelling map updated at the 6000m service about 6 weeks ago. The mid-range is much better and smoother, and there is much more stable engine braking at 2500rpm.

However, it is a bit jerky on v.small throttle opening/closing. For example, if I am rolling along with the throttle closed, and then crack it open a teeny bit, response is jerky unless I am v.v.v.careful and delicate (not in my nature). Similarly, if I have the throttle open a little, and close it, the fuelling seems to shut off abruptly.

I cant seem to get a smooth transit from off-throttle to on-throttle and vice versa when using small throttle openings unless I take great care.

Before the new map was uploaded, I didn't have this jerkiness.

I'd like to have the old map for small throttle openings and low revs, and the new map for the rest.

Anyone else noticed the same thing?

Yep very jerky when just opening the throttle slightly - not good for filtering...but still better than the old mapping.

Yes I've noticed it with a closed or closing throttle at low speeds though not when opening the throttle. Only notice it occasionally and haven't been particularly bothered by it myself. Other than that I think the new mapping is a great improvement.

Mine's the same, just when you want control at slow speed the throttle is either all or f@ck all.
Is this with all of them or is there a fix? Mine too was remapped.
Now it's run in and I'm giving it some beans I'm starting to forgive it though. What a machine!

I've mentioned it to Vines today. They are going to pass the word on to the BMW tech people. Apparently there is another update coming out in a month, but no info as to whether this contains a new fuelling map or not.

Hopefully someone will create a PowerCommander sort of thing for the 1200 and I'll do it myself :D

Unfortunately this is only for the 1150, not the 1200. I spoke to Powercommander at the bike show and they say they will do one for the 1200, but dont know when it will be out.:( :( :(

Lets hope it will be soon. Theres a big market for it.

Tobers, 'Dee and 'Dum installed the newest version two days ago, and mine's blinding, absolutely perfect. Have I a newer version than yours, even?

Regards
