Hi folks
Has any one of you lucky people with a new LC had chance to compare the screens to other screen designs - I'm thinking particularly about the GIVI airflow type.
My GS is a 2007 version and it's always been a great bike. :thumby:The original GS screen was however "a compromise" as the sales chappie described it. I always felt it was a bit crap so changed it to the GIVI design after researching it on these here threads. It was a total revelation and increased my riding pleasure by a shedload as the constant buffeting disappeared completely.
I'm now thinking of getting an LC but would appreciate a bit of feedback on the new screen - particularly from anyone who had a GIVI airflow previously.
BTW I'm 5'7'' in my socks as I'm sure height is a factor.
Cheers,
Tim

Hi JJ
Looks like only you and me are interested in this one. Might have to shelve it until a few more people have ridden the new bikes for a while.
I went to the local dealership tonight (again!) for another drool over the LC. I didn't realise but you can get a lowered suspension setup. The salesman was actually shorter than me but reckons he can get his feet flat on the floor on his new LC. If this is the case, I'm having one good screen or not! :clap

Nice 1

In short the answer is yes. A noticeable improvement on upper body. No improvement on arms. but if you need that much improvement. Buy a RT..I can assure you that when your riding one the wind wont wipe the smile off your face. Its that much better Honest. Cant wait to see the new RT. WITH THIS ENGINE AND A NEW FRAME AND HOPEFULLY A NEW DESIGN FAIRING. bmw will shit all over the competition. Fact:beerjug:

It's better than my 1200 twin cam, I don't get any buffeting at all.

its better than my adventure screen, a big barn door slab of plastic doesn't necessarily make a good screen roll on monday!:thumby:

Following a test today, paying specific attention to the screen performance, I noted the following.
With my GSA screen and winglets, wind over the screen same as, i.e. wind hitting top of the helmet. Wind around the side onto the body, not quite as good as the GSA/winglet set up, more like the GSA screen sans winglets. Still considerable better than the standard GS screen. This was with the screen full up.
