New material required...

It's a shame you don't know anyone with a basic knowledge of materials, a welder and an understanding and gorgeous wife who would probably love more romp-room :blast

Chad FFS, sort out out man! :rob

Take the mattress off the frame, extend the frame by 4+ inches either end, then buy an Ikea European sized mattress and/or just pad out your old one with a few bolsters :blast

It's basic engineering for lanky fuckers 101

You'll never wake up cramped and stiff (in the joints) again.......you'll sleep better, be a happier chappy and you'll be able to satisfy your good lady almost as much as I do :D

...or better still – just extend 1 end by 8+ inches thereby saving 50% extra work. There you go, even more basic engineering by a shortarse! :blast :D:D

here i am sunning myself in i taly ive only been gone five minutes and allready twizzles looking at triumphs .
somebody beat him with a stick

It was your chuffing fault in the first place...I thought what harm can come from having a look..... But fear not.... I've given myself a good talking too and reimplemented my one bike rule.... :thumb

I've decided that cash in the bank is better then two bikes in the garage.......

But, never say never.... If anything I'll buy another 1150 GS when the time is right... :D

To quote our Oirish compadres, .....Ya bollix.

Extend one end by 8 inches and you have a big fuckin' gap to bolster out......It'll work fine for a week or two, but all on a sudden, probably when you're lining up on Chad's choccy starfish, your feet will sink straight through to the floor :blast

Two lots of even but shorter extensions are far far better than a single double long extension.......trust me, been there, made the mistake, got the angle grinder out and had to fix it :blast

:rob:rob:rob

You know what Melchs big mistake is ? He doesn't know you well enough.

And he's assuming you'd naturally, like anyone else, use a suitable material to extend the bed with, rather than cardboard.

:D

Cardboard welds really well

As long as you use the hairdryer for long enough to make the weld maché set, what's the problem :nenau
