Take the mattress off the frame, extend the frame by 4+ inches either end, then buy an Ikea European sized mattress and/or just pad out your old one with a few bolsters

Extend one end by 8 inches and you have a big fuckin' gap to bolster out......It'll work fine for a week or two, but all on a sudden, probably when you're lining up on Chad's choccy starfish, your feet will sink straight through to the floor

Two lots of even but shorter extensions are far far better than a single double long extension.......trust me, been there, made the mistake, got the angle grinder out and had to fix it

I've just checked mine it's 6'6" or 200 cm.... So STD King Size..

I'm 6'8"... So must curl up a bit!!

You know what Melchs big mistake is ? He doesn't know you well enough.

And he's assuming you'd naturally, like anyone else, use a suitable material to extend the bed with, rather than cardboard.

Cardboard welds really well

As long as you use the hairdryer for long enough to make the weld maché set, what's the problem
