What is it about the feel of fresh rubber underneath you..?

I fitted some lovely new Dunlop GP212s the other day, but they were super cheap because they were older tyres. They have replaced a set of Dunlop Roadsmarts that were new in 2012 and have been awesome, dealing with the IOMTT last summer, touring France, and the rest of the last 12mths riding for £100 the pair and without a moment of complaint.

Probably got another set somewhere in that garage of yours 😜

I’ve only gone and squared mine off last weekend riding circa 250 miles on the motorway. Hoping to get them back into some sort of shape this coming weekend. £320 for my set of tyres. 😭

:eek
Is that a typo?
No, not a typo… 😁👍

They were good enough for me to keep up with Rob at Sid’s last year, and he’s an ex-TT racer. (He was a bit surprised to keep seeing me right behind him when he looked in his mirrors 🤣)

They just need ‘re-profiling’. Find a nice twisty road and go up and down it for a few passes and you’ll be fine. Otherwise, wait until we get off the ferry and I’ll find some roads for you to sort them :eyebrow

Funny you should say that… I’ve a nice set of part-worm Michelin Sportcups sitting there. Ex-Tom Weeden shakedown tyres from TT24 that did 2 laps last year, and were ‘free to a good home’
