After a long wait for delivery, I removed this:

Then fitted this:

Ztechnik 2442. Extremely well made. Brackets Clyde built. Perfect fit. I was lucky as the small indicators pass through the brackets. Full size indicators would have to be removed and this is covered in the instructions. Which didn't mention removing any existing screen so that meant headlamp removal. Instructions also didn't mention that you can 'just' access the headlamp mounting bolts with the brackets in place, but as I found out the hard way you have to get inventive to actually tighten the headlamp mounting bolts properly after fitting the screen to the brackets as there is no line of sight with screen in place.

A 10 minute job turned into a longer session when one new spacer went AWOL but didn't land on floor. After removing seat and all 4 side panels, then pulling tank back I spotted the little bugger lurking on the RH side of engine. Keep trying to convince myself it was invisible till I moved everything, but maybe I just need a brighter torch and new glasses. I wanted a black screen, but this medium height one is only available in light tint. Very light. Shorter one comes black. Taller one comes clear.

A bit of wind noise, but not a problem as I wear fitted plugs. Silent when you crouch slightly, but I'm looking for a taller sports seat not a lower one as the arse to peg distance is just a bit short.

Followed by this little baby from the house of Ilmberger, acquired from this place some time ago:

A very nice fit, but you do have to remove the wheel then 3 of the bolts from the final drive to mount it.

Where did you purchase the screen and bracket please? I want one!
Thank you.

I ordered from these folk

Very friendly. But - screen was not in stock and it took several weeks to get delivered from US of A. Seems they make a weekly order and I just missed one. But then it still took ages. But did show up and was well packed and well made.

Package included a lot of paperwork for cruiser stuff from these folk.

Guess what? Same phone number.

A taller seat BB?

I've only recently got my Dark White 1200R and like we all do, I bought some goodies. One of which is a Wunderlich Ergo seat. A superbly made and finished item and supremely comfortable BUT, and having gone back and forth from the rock-hard standard seat to the Wunderlich many times, I'm finding the seat adds about 40mm, maybe more to the seat height. In standard trim I can flat foot the ground, with the Wunderlich I'm on the balls of my feet. I don't feel too comfortable with this stretch and also, when my wife climbs on the back with her hip and knee replacement wriggling and shenanigans I want to be flat feet. So, Boxer Boy I might be the (local) source of your new seat!

I got a Wunderlich screen in my job lot as well. Looks similar to the ZTechnik one but I think mine is less protective around the lower sides than yours. We need to meet up and compare. Mine allows a massive rush of wind around the base and the tops of my legs and my lower abdomen get a cool blast. I'd say the screen adds about 10-15mph at least to the comfort zone compared to the joke Beem "Touring" screen. I get wind rush over the screen top but it manifests in an unpleasant "thrumming" on/in my helmet. I might get a spoiler from MRA if I can find out if it fits the screen curvature. Seats and screens eh? So personal and difficult to predict.

Hey, I do like the bike though! I've had a 12GS, a 12GS Adv, an F800R and now this. A very fine beastie.

Now, now Mike. It's not my idea of a name but "they" think that if you paint the panels white and the remainder black or dark grey it's a .........well you know what it is. :thumb
