Im thinking of having a new seat covering and was wondering which is best for the base, Gel insert or memory foam. heard that gel can be too hot. any help appreciated.

Had my standard adventure seat cut down into the style of a Sargent seat and a gel pad put in. Just done around 1500 miles round Europe and no issues. Couldn't manage 2 days on the standard seat so works for me. Had it done by Tony Archer in Huddersfield. Been there years and has a very good reputation.
