My better half recently treated me to a nice new pair of offroad boots from Biking Direct at a really good price - www.bikingdirect.com. Now not only were the boots at a good price (so I am told) but the service she received from John and his team was superb.

Not only was he extremely helpful in explaining all the ins and outs of the boots that she was after - after several emails and calls, but they were very quick to answer and even called me to let me know that the boots were dispatched.

Two days later the boots were there, well packaged and in excellent time.

So a big thanks to John and his team at bikingdirect. Oh and they are presently running a 10% discount currently off their already reasonable prices!!!!

Give em a call; I understand its a new business and they are really trying to get a foothold in the market - so far so good!

was thinking of getting a set of these myself - are they as comfortable as they say? Havent found anywhere near me who sells them to try them on. Would at least like to hear they are the nuts mutts before I buy them on mail order.

Cannot comment a great deal as not had them long but they are very well made, comfortable so far - fully adjustable to differing leg sizes and if you get the SRS version they have replaceable soles. I must admit I went for 43's; having tried the standard Sidi crossboot at J&S. As I was not sure, I went for standard Crossfire - as the size was spot on wish I had gone for the SRS sole - it screws on and off so User replacement!!

For the money; nothing I have looked at compares - a mate who works at Hein Gerricke said they are better than the Alpinestars Tech10's and Oxtar offerings if that is any further help!!

I bought some Courier's from them - I was pleased with the service too (ordered the wrong size to begin with and had to pay for re-delivery but given how much I'd saved and that it was my fault, seemed fair enough).

I've got the Flexforce SRS and the soles are completely rigid. Probably good for protection and it makes standing on the pegs for extended periods very easy but they're not the easiest boots to walk in. If you've worn ski boots or stiff soled mountaineering boots you'll get the idea. Also, I'm not sure that the Crossfire SRS are available in the UK yet. My local Sidi dealer doesn't have them in his latest catalogue.....:nenau

BIG Boots?

I know that there are some normal sized (as in over 6'2" :augie ) people on here so do any of you have any idea where I can get hold of some offroad boots in size 15UK/15.5US/49EU.

I can find a few road boots but nothing reinforced for offroad use. They all seem to stop at 47EU or 48EU.

The ideal would be a 50 so I can wear thick socks too

** Just found these http://www.dirtbikebitz.com/sidi-raptor-evo-enduro-motocross-boots-blk-p-1521.html and they go to size 50**

Hi Schtum,

You are right; tried on the Flexforce for size but opted for the Crossfires suggested by the dealer in Ireland (see first post). Stairs climbing are not great but then I bought them for the bike; and like you find them very supportive in the bike.

And BFB, sorry the Sidi's only seem to go up to 48 - Flex and Supermoto......good luck with your search..could try these places:
