Hi All,
New to the site as you can see, traded my 04 GS for a new Adventure, well pleased except for fuel guage has decided to tell me tank is full all the time!! Bit of a bummer, waiting for modified sender unit from BMW, anyone else suffer the same fate?
Taking a week in France next year arriving in Roscoff or LeHarve, any advice on good routes, places to stay etc, would like to keep it to around 200-300Km a day,
all (reasonable) suggestions welcome, thanks.

welcome to the site, hope you enjoy....not had many probems on my GSA yet.....:D...apart form draining a battery in four days...my fault though :blast

as for France hopefully some folks experienced with that bit of the world will be round with tips

happy biking :thumb

Thanks for the welcome

Hi Paul, thanks for the words of welcome, Brian.

How about looking at the D-Day landing beaches?
Some great roads anywhere south of those

hi mate, can recomend a place on the west coast called La Baule, stunning beach (all 8km of it) St Nazaire below, but dont let that put you off....

the west coast of Brittany is amazing, you could go Poole to Cherbourg with Brittany ferries, over night boat gets in at 06.30...which means you can go and find breakfast in the town...bakery there that opens first thing...hmmmm!

then head down to St Lo, Mont St Michel, coast road to La Baule dips in and out of the Atlantic coast...

hope that helps...

Thanks for the tips, will probably be going Rosslare to Roscoff or Cherbourg, ferry crossings to France quite limited from Ireland. had thought about going Plymouth to Santander and then riding back but with ferry crossings to UK it would mean an overnight in UK outbound and time is of the essence when you are imposing on folk to look after your kids so you can swan off on your bike!

Hello & welcome to the site Usurp66 :beerjug:

Get yourself over to the Ireland section for all the craic :bounce1

Welcome to the site - hope you enjoy the bike too. The good thing about the GSA is it doesn't use any fuel ...ever.... so you are always able to ride unlimied miles without filling it - bloody clever bit of German engineering ;)

For routes in Frnace , click on the Best Biking Roads icon below this post - it'll take you anywhere you want with lots of info and maps for bikers by bikers :thumb

Thanks Gecko, had been having a look on this site but not really a tech wiz, found it a bit difficult to navigate it, can get routes by region but what i was looking for is a guide to routes for all of france, have about a week without the kids so don't want to waste any time, thanks for the welcome.
