I use tomtom 510 on my bike don't see the point in paying extra hundreds of pounds for riders and Zumo's. The Zumo is just a waterproof Nuvi my 510 has been saturated a few times and has never given me any issues if i turn the volume up i can still hear it clearly at 90mph. If it packs up i will buy another standard tomtom

its worth it for the biking modes, Winding Roads is awesome, makes a huge difference in the usability of the product on a bike, car products have no place on a bike as they route in the wrong manner.

Not having that feature you wont miss it but most of my mates who have ridden or toured with me leading end up buying one for that feature alone, in fact many have converted from Garmin.

Ignorance is bliss on this topic but im afraid to say the grass really is greener. :hide

I dont get people asking for audio out, its bluetooth, starcom, autocom, helmets, scala, they all do bluetooth so why allow water ingress by putting holes in the side of the products or mounts.

A new TomTom Rider! bring it on!

I thought TomTom had given up!

If I wasn't about to buy one of the motorrad IV's for my new bike, I'd be interested in one of these, as I much prefer TomTom to Garmin:thumb

I've never used a Tom Tom device... does anyone know what mapping program they use to create custom routes?

Can you plan routes on a PC and or Mac and transfer them to a Tom Tom device which is a major plus for the Garmin systems?

I believe you need an internet connection to use 'Tyre'.. If so it would be of limited use...

Got an 'update' for my MK1 Rider lst month. Did update, lost all European mapping. Still has the speedcameras for Europe, just no roads. Backup wont load. it was working fine until the 'update'. Tom Tom wont provide any assistance because it is an 'out of date' product. Told me to buy a new one. Perhaps that was the point of the 'update'? To break a perfectly functional bit of kit and force me to buy a new one?

New TomTom? I don't care how 'good' it is or isn't, I am not buying it.

My Garmin 2610 is still working perfectly.

there is tyre, remote control of the tomtom software via the PC, and then there is direct on the device itinerary planning, any way works, take your pick
