New window not full screen?

Hi,

It often happens when I open a new window that it sizes itself to about half the screen. I can then maximise it, no prob. What interests me is why this happens, even though the app was running in full screen when last used?

It is often down to a combination of application and how it is closed down, asuming it is windows use the File > Exit option instead of the X - does that help?

try this.

1. Close all instances of internet explorer except for one.
2. Right click on a link in the page and select "open in new window"
3. Close the first browser window using [X] in upper right corner.
resize the window manually by dragging the sides to the desired size(DO NOT click maximise)
4.Hold down Ctrl key and click [X] upper right corner

Happens with any program, word, excel, outlook. I wonder is it a matter of what the processor is doing at the time of opening the prog.
