New Year's Eve in morocco

hi myself and 2 friends will find our selves in morocco new years eve (without the wife's) cool
anyway is there somewhere good to stay a little bit off life !
alcohol,a pool maybe if its warm ?
anybody out there planing anything special and 3 unwonted guest might be welcome ?
am i right in thinking that the Moroccan's don't celebrate the same time we do ?
this means ther should be no excessive price increase for new years eve
or should we just get a camp fire going and hit the hay early ready for a New Years day ride

I wouldn't ...

... pin your hopes on it being particularly warm; in fact depending on where you are it'll most likely be bloody cold ! It doesn't really get 'warm' until you get past the sandy bit going South. Marrakesh will be tolerable, but you'll need a jacket, and going South from there you'll be above the snow line at some point. We spent New Year there in 06 & 08 and there wasn't too much in the way of celebration (or beer) to be found

ps - We'll be there again this year, but probably only just !
