Great photos on the site of the rally - I was very tempted to sign up for that but I'm only an offroad learner.
Next year maybe if you guys run it again.

Yes and had a load of fun. There is a group over here that want to ride the 05 BMW Safari in Aust

Did the BMW NZ safari in March 2001. Three days of great trail riding on the Otago gold fields rally. Nevis pass, Knobby range, Mount Pisa - fantastic 3 days, with each day starting at Cromwell not far from Queenstown on the South Island.

05 in Aust is Queensland ...
I did the 04 Aust in Tasmania. Good but I think I prefere travelling with a smaller group - 400 is a bit much.

Maybe if they do Western Australia I'd go again.

We had 100 riders on the trip. Once they where all spread out you hardly saw anyone other than the group/friends you rode with. Would this not be the same in Aust.
