F650 gs 2000.. changing gear up from 2nd to 3rd seems really, really hard to do, any suggestions please?

Easiest thing to do is to meet up somewhere (im in Sheff) and let me have a go. That'll determine quickly if its a problem with the bike or just 'like that sir'.
