Newbie looking for advice on price

Hi All, four day lurker, first time poster and as always its looking for information..

I have been looking for a an 1150GSA, and have finally spotted one that looks to be in spot on condition 2003 62k on the clock and tbh looks mint. It has the full kit, engine bars, full luggage etc and is going for £4195, with a full BMW SH to 55k

Feels like a bargain to me but a little concerned about the milage Can anyone help this floundering newbie with an opinion?

Obviously take a test ride and check it goes, handles and stops ok. Any problems with jumping out of gear etc then walk away, otherwise it sounds like a good deal and the mileage sounds correct for the bikes age.

Don't be afraid of the mileage as the air cooled boxer engine is very robust and in a pretty low state of tune so can handle the miles. The FSH means it has had regular oil changes so there should be no blue smoke on accelerating. Better to judge the overall condition of the bike as a guide e.g. engine casings can corrode, rims get scratched/damaged when off-roading etc.

The engines can seem a bit clattery to the inexperienced (especially on start up) and the gearboxes are notchy when compared to an inline japanes four cylinder, so if you can take along an experienced GS riding friend (maybe a nearby forum member??) to listen then all the better.
