Next Isle of Man Meet

29th is fine by me. Maybe by then Mrs Baps will be ready for a trip on the bike.

Sounds like Zaps is organising the Southern 100 meet (the fool, he stuck his head above the parapet) so I am eargerly awaiting his proposal :aidan

Southern 100 - 9th July to 13 July(Friday)

Races I think are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings.
Jurby should hava road race on the Saturday 14th.

It appears none of you are interested in the racing, as you seem not to now when it is on!

The only meet you have appears to be 17th - will not be there then.

Anyone watching the racing?:augie

Hi Honey...no its not that i'm not interested :) ...I have only been on the island for 6 months and didn't know the Southern 100 course had races throughout the year.....I'm a newbie you see:rolleyes:

what sort of racing is it? ie what type of bike?

come and have a jar...don't mind where...:)

Road racing, just a smaller lap distance than the TT.
A follow on from the North West 200 in Portrush.

I believe there is a bike museum in Kirk St Michael, on the Ramsey side of the town. Must try and find it this trip.

Arrange a meet when I know when the museum is open.

Its just Kirk Michael Zaps, there are too many sinners living there for the village to get a Saint in its name:aidan

I've heard about this place. I think its a private house and the guy just has a big collection of bikes which he lets people come in and have a look at from time to time. It's pretty close to the village petrol station although Ive never been myself.

It's known as the Old Vicarage Bike Museum and the guy who owns the place is Tony East Tel 01624 878242

Hi Hon,
I know where it is....just not been yet...yes..if coming through KM from the south (ie if you came from Ballacraine cross-roads) you keep on going through and on the left just as you approach the petro station - there is a house set back from the road with a kind of conservatory inbetween 2 buidlings. Its in there.
give us a shout when you come through...we can hvae a cuppa or somat stronger.

Hi
The next meet for The Creek in Peel is on the 17th. Redstan will be over that week too....
Not sure when our next "lunchtime" meet is ...nothing has been muted on that one...
what about the 29th July guys??? I am away in France the week before (16th onwards)......and we are moving, I think, sometime after that.....

how about Niarbyl again??? or somewhere down south.

Not sure what week you are talking about Zapada....so hopefully a meet will be on when you here..otherwise just give us bell and we can meet at the Raven or the Mitre ......
