After a new lid soon and seen plenty of good press for XD-1.

Always worn Arai, currently on a X4 but am tempted by the XD1 with built in sunshade.

Thought i'd fire off a thread for feedback on peoples thoughts (if any) have XD1 - especially interested in people who have migrated from TourX to XD1?

Finally - looks like limited dealer network (mainly mailorder from web) which means trying on is a bit of a problem - any dealers/suppliers in the south or better still south west would be much appreciated.

TIA

Morning RJS, I had similar trying find a 'local' stockist, e-mail Dave Westerman who is the UK importer and he will tell you where the nearest locations to you are (I'd advise you let him know how far you are prepared to travel), [email protected],

I tried one on at Adventure Bike Shop in Swinton Manchester, didn't buy as decided I'm going for a Flip Front, good luck!

Regards Jonno

I've just bought one from http://www.adventurebikeshop.co.uk who were great. It's a really nice lid, it's light and it's got a ton of features and vents etc. The tinted visor flip down was pretty essential to me. You even get go pro mounts, pin lock visor, goggle snaps etc. in the box.

It's really easy to change modes, and you don't need tools to get the visor off etc. two catches and a finger nut.

One thing I did find was that the cheek pads that are meant to only come off in an emergency were coming off every time I took it off. Turns out it was a fault with one side of the pads in mine. Nexx were great and send out a new set. Oddly it was only the right side. You can probably make out that the catch is less pronounced on one of the pads in the photo.

I'd still recommend it though. It's robust, full featured, well thought out, and it's comfortable and relatively quiet (removing the peak helps.) I've just spent all afternoon green laning in it, and it was a dream.

This lid is basically a slightly more full featured, and consequently heavier version of Touratech's lid (Nexx actually make that for them).
