NICE BLOKES IN HURSTS BMW!! Co.Antrim

Just picked up my pride and I must say under used joy from Charles Hurst BMW. It was in for the 24,000 mile service. Got it home and it was a joy to ride! Very reasonable privce too £348.00 including new pads front and rear.
Have heard one or two bad reports about these guys but anytime I have availed of their help or advice, I have always been dealt with kindly and fairly.

Just make sure those pads were changed! I picked up a new (to me) GS in Sept which had had its 6k service at Hursts - I bought the bike with 9k and the rear pads were shot and I mean SHOT! The disc was scored and had to be replaced. I don't know if I'd trust my pride and joy to them. Ok, I do know - I wouldn't... The guys at the desk are very friendly but if you can't trust the mechanics it doesn't matter....

There was a phrase coined when I was there! "The Mechanics in here are like Mushrooms!! Kept in the Dark and Fed Shite!!!!"

You are only as good as the info that you are given !!!! If it says 6000m service you do a 6000m service If it says check brakes you check brakes, Do any more than it says an you get aggro lots and lots of aggro! If you punch them cos they're out of order an gettin on yer tits! it's gross misconduct!

If some Arsehole says "check ABS fault" and bike is running when you collect it from the front door and you ride off and try progressively more aggresive braking till the front end locks up and almost wipes you out!!! In truth t'was a Non ABS bike!!!!! Say No More!!!!
Needless to say I stopped em all and checked em right from the baseline from there on in!!
Bad job when you can't trust those who are doin the bookin in to do their bit right!!!!
So don't blame the mechs right away! read the job card and see what "Shit fer brains" has booked ya in for!
