Nice Hotels Mid Pyrenees

Hi anyone know of any nice hotels mid Pyrenees also safe for bikes your help would be appreciated thanks,

What's your budget? I noramally stay in broto, small ski town , off season very cheap, hotels a plenty. Pretty river, sit and there at the end of the day drop the wine in the river to cool(freezing water) buy some bread meat and pate. Al fresco meal in a beautiful setting. Bike always left outside but never had a problem.

Stayed there a few times.
Loved it.
Not a spectacular hotel by any means. But the staff are nice, the food good and the location excellent as a base for some superb roads.
Never had a problem with security for the Bike - was offered the use of the backyard (off road / out of sight) to park. used it one night and didn't bother after that - just left it on the street.
once some kids / teens went to mess with it, but were chased off by the staff.
the kids were... English.

We live in a small market town in the Midi-Pyrenees and our bikes usually live on the street during the warmer months. When I took out insurance for the 1200, I asked our AXA insurance agent whether it would make a difference to the (already low) premium if we kept them in a garage. It didn't. They simply don't have the same problem with bike theft away from the major cities down here ...

There is/was a member offering B&B practically on our doorstep/border with Spain. I just checked their site, and they re-open June 2012.

Hotels Mid Pyrenees

Hi everyone thanks for your replies, budget not a problem its for our return journey from southern Spain, we have stopped in Sette Eygun very nice on the east side also at Les Losses west side going accross to France on the C 38 which was to say the least spectacular, now we are looking somewhere between with nice views and roads.

If you are anywhere near Tremp - this place is stunning. Up in the clouds - surrounded by Lammergiers and Griffon vultures. Welcoming ex-pat Brit owners. Great food, wine included, etc. Nice pool. Astonishing value for money.

looks fantastic is it easy access on te bike with wife and luggage...

Not bad - look at all the pictures on their website and you will get a good impression.

And this is me going down the road from the carpark into the village - it is only a hundred yards or so - and if you don't fancy it (there is a bit of a drop of the side that does not show in this picture !) it would be easy to leave the bike at the bottom & walk up. My pillion voted with his feet and walked up.

But the whole experience is well worth it. I would recommend two nights - so you can just have a lazy day by the pool. If you like birdwatching - this was a typical sight - these are all lammergiers and griffon vultures !
