NiMH batteries in SPIII

Does anyone know for sure if it’s Ok to use NiMH rechargeables in the SPIII ? (I think the answer should be yes)
SPIII battery setting’s allow for alkaline and NiCd, but is unlike many electronic “goods” that also offer a NiMH option.

Yup, Nicad and NiMh are both 1.2 volts, the difference is NiMh don't have the "memory" that Nicads have, I use the 2000 mah ones and it will run for about 5 hours.
