No 8

F me that music was abit unexpected nearly fell of the F chair...

Probably user error - but the only event I can find anything on is the Enduro in late November - is this 'No 8'?

Setra doesn't sound like the right place to go as a beginner... on an HP2

If it was like the Cambrian I've read so much about, then I would love to go!

Sorry No 8 is my entry number, could be done on a HP2, not sure about the beginner bit !

Thanks for the explanation - guess I'll give this one a miss then :o

Im going on the KTM...not got my number back yet though.... riding with a mate on a DRZ.
Not done this one before but the lack of legal lanes is pushing us more and more into off road 'competition'.
Will post my number when it arrives...... but I will be easy to spot.... I will be the orange one at the back with masses of potential traction additive....;)

:( ..... looks like Ive drawn a blank.
Didnt get a response to our entry....
.... obviously saw our Cambrian results and realised we are too quick....for our own good.........:augie :augie :augie

Hope to go one lap better, I need 8 laps to beat the last time out.

Come and cheer us on, my START TIME is 10.00

Sorry if I don`t stop and chat, but I`m on a MISSION :thumb2

Loaded with new tips and new leg BRACES, bikes got NEW tyres, and sprockets.

Wish me luck think this is my 5th start, TOP BLOKES on 14 laps

Heard naff all from the organisers so coming down with the GF on a trail ride in that area..... will drop by as we are intending to use a byway near the event.... dont feel too bad if a 'portly' gent on a KTM rushes by.... be very ashamed if the girlie Serrow does though....:)

Loads of support, cheers cookie and keith even a few locals gave me a boost.

As far as I can see I managed 8 laps, I had 40mins to go and managed 2 laps with 4 mins to go.

The ground was perfect and the knee braces gave me extra confedance.

Sorry no picture Keiths taken some I think, hope there not to :ymca

BAKES,

9 LAPS is just to far out of reach, mind you I stopped every lap for a drink for a minute or two, my be if I don`t stop

Well done Bakes :clap
Did you figure out where the noise was coming from ?

It was a hell of a noise, appartently The FRONT Olins forks were bottoming out, according to my PIT CREW, they got wound up to 5 making them a bit harder, they also said it was because I was trying harder, :D that pleased me.

Good to see you, sorry not many words.

cheers kieth, Ive got you to thank for starting me off on these things

Well done.
I put an entry in with a mate and neither of us heard back from the organisers.
Ended up trail riding the area based on a new OS map.
Had a really good time with loads of signs to verify you were on legal lanes too.
Got lost once 'on the plain' and bumped into a Land Warden in a 4x4 but he was really obliging and put us back on track.... and pointed out a great by-way that was temporarily flooded.
Coming back this weekend too as the GF enjoyed the faster lanes, going to look South of Stonehenge as i see there are loads of legal trails down there.:thumb2

The Land Wardens tend not to be as friendly as the Land Rangers. The Land Rangers are normally only interested in stopping you be shot or blown up :augie
