One of the CG125s I use at my school has developed a problem. I thought I'd ask the massed wisdom of UKGSer to see if anyone has any idea what might be going on.
It's an electric start model, about 4 years old. I've only just bought it and installed a new battery today, but that doesn't seem to be related to my problem (although I hoped it might be...).
When I use the electric start, all I hear is a relay somewhere going 'click'. The engine doesn't turn over at all.
The kickstart works fine and the bike runs fine. Once it's been running for a little while, I can turn off the ignition and it will immediately restart using the electric start - starts on the first prod of the button. If I use the horn a couple of times first, or turn on the indicators for a bit before retrying, then it won't and I'm back to the 'click' noise.
It had this problem with the old battery, too.
Anyone got any idea what might need looking at?
