Hi All,
I'm still pretty new to the site, and have posted a couple of questions before but I'd like to get some more of your collective advice (if that's OK!)...
I've decided to spend about £4500 on an 1150GS and I've just been waiting for my budget to be confirmed. I've got my eye on one, and will hopefully be going to view in the next week or so.
I decided that the GS was a prime candidate before even visiting this site, as I'm after a comfy (particularly for pillion) long-distance tourer with the capacity to cope with some less civilised roads - the GS' reputation is second to none. My big worry, though, is this: I've not ridden a bike for a pretty long time now (seven years, ish) and I've never ridden anything as big or as heavy as the GS (my last bike was a 500cc Guzzi). Based on the advice I've seen here, I'm a good size to cope with the GS (1m85, 94kg, 76cm inside leg) but is this bike choice a bit ambitious? Should I delay getting an 1150GS and go for a smaller bike in the interim?
Cheers - Adam...
