In my constant search for audio excellence I'd like to acquire some noise insulating earphones.

Although noise attenuating devices are supposed to indicate the degree of attenuation provided, hardly any do.

Anybody recommend good ones?

Most google searches will tell you Bose do the best... though they're not cheap.

So I bought a pair a few months back coz I'm on the plane alot, and I've got to say, they are excellent. Very clear sound without blasting my eardrums.

Sorry, i should have said I want them for the bike.

I too have a pair of Bose QC2 and whilst the sound quality is good, I've had problems with what sounds like feedback howl.
Bose service, being as good as it always is, have replaced them twice now to no effect, I rarely use them now.

I've got some bose in-ear phones as well, but the attenuationis not enough to use on the bike

Why not use earplugs with the built in speaker - custom made to your ears.

Or use normal ear plugs and just turn up the apeakers in your helmet - works for me. :nenau
