Yes it does.... mine came with a 1 gig card with the UK loaded (O2) I've also brought the routing service £6 to try for a month...

It's all good

Have you seen the speed the N95 can hook up to a Wifi... very quick (O2 also do a £12 per month all you can eat wifi deal covering 9000 hotspots - basically its The Cloud and Bt openzone combined)

Any idea how you can get to the nokia map loader site if your company firewalls it out

90MB for the UK mapping.

In a couple of years time pissed up people will be standing outside pubs with phones in hand, trying to get a gps signal as well as a phone signal. While another load of people will be wandering around with their phone pointing the way to the pub where their pissed up mate is

I've been 'awarded' the N95 as my 18 month statutory replacement by V******e.

I already wear a Garmin 305 instead of a watch (a necessary foible that us M50+ ultrarunners have used used for a while now to home us in on the next urinal down the trail).

So I'm genned up already with the GPS signal's 'clearings and canopies' in our part of the urban jungle. The 305's SiRFstar III chipset is pretty darned good compared with all the predecessors .

With respect to the GPS signal lock-on the Nokia N95 seems about where the old Garmin 201/301 series was two or three years ago....interesting, but as a tool to use just plain infuriating.

I'm wondering where I can plug a GPS aerial maybe? Or 'tooth' a connection to a proper Sirfstar III enabled device?

Has anyone managed to download any mapping using their USB cable :nenau

Iv'e used WLAN and it works great but only downloads area you are in or where you scroll the cursor to :(

Everytime the Maploader is used the software freezes , i'm sure it must be me :rob

I was wanting to be able to download countries and areas i want to visit :bounce1

TIA .............. :aidan

The GPS works fine , i was wanting to download mapping via my computer with the N95 attatched with a USB cable :beerjug:

Nokia N73

The first map I loaded I used the USB cable but I took the card out and used a
card reader for the UK and Morocco.
Cable worked fine, but street level of Dublin is missing, I'll try using the card
reader to reinstall the Ireland maps tomorrow.
