not sure if i should be here or under comms but here goes, just bought the new nolan n103,the one with the internal dark visor, nolan have realy thought about this lid- it can be fitted with nolans own n com, however i already had an autocom system brand new waiting to be fitted to a new lid--so i stuck it in the nolan ,it fits very well with some slight modification to the existing earpiece recesses , just carefully enlarge the polysterene speaker holes with a small craft knife and set in with velcro. its realy worth the effort to do this properly cause if you dont (and just stick the speakers in without cutting) when you put the lid on your ears will stay folded and not spring back like ears should! also the boom mike fits very well into an existing plastic channel ,the cable coming through a ready made hole in the bottom edge.
does this make sense? anyway its fairly obvious what goes where. please dont ask for pictures..... still in training. regards to all gsers.

When I needed to enlarge the ear recesses on my C23 I tried a craft knife but not the best thing to cut polystyrene neatly and hard to get a nice shape with a flat base. I then got a spoon, heated it and melted the polystyrene. Very neat lean result with smooth surface to stick the earpieces to (I just used a dib of hot melt glue).

nolan n103

yep its a bit dissapointing in the wind noise department over 70,but no more so than my shoei syncrotech flip front---buffeting isnt a problem but i have a large screen. the one thing that sold it to me---comfort,it just felt right instantly and in low winter sun the dark visor works-(thats 2 things)

Yip I agree comfort,it just felt right instantly and in low winter sun the dark visor.:aidan

Helmet looks interseting, I'm considering a flip front with an integral sun visor. The earlier comment about it being noisy concerns me, my current helmet is a Roof 010 Diversion, which is quiet, when compared to my Craft RX7 (THINKIT'S AN rx7:confused:)
The Roof gets praise for being quiet, what is everyone comparing the Nolan to? Has anyone gone from the Roof to the Nolan?
