O.K. so I know it doesn't relate to the bike but it's impertive to ride comfort, so here goes::augie
Does anyone have a recommendation for a good breakfast stop in the Marlborough area. I'm going to west Wales tomorrow from Hampshire and want to stay off the M4 (soo boring). I am planning to hop cross country to Swindon then through Gloucester and Ross on Wye into the Brecons on the
A40. But, to keep swmbo running sweetly I need a good breakfast and lunch stop along the way. I thought I might make Brecon or Hay on Wye by lunch time if I leave home at about 07:00

Any recommendations? I'll get it in 1st 'leave swmbo at home!'

Avoid the Polly Tea Rooms unless your'e minted :augie

There is a newish cafe on the opposite side of the High St near the old Post Office which is biker friendly :thumb

What's your definition of a "good" breakfast?

My place of choice used to be the Waterfront pub in Pewsey, but then they stopped doing the "Stonehenge" breakfast and started doing a generic small fry up. My current provider is the green portacabin on the A338 just south of Burbage here.

Fantastic big breakfast with toast and mug of tea for a fiver and home made bread. Not open Sundays unfortunately.

Alternately the Woodborough Garden Centre is slightly posher, which naturally means not as good fry ups.

Or if you are North of Marlborough or coming from the M4, The cafe at Barbury Castle also does great "all day breakfast" fry ups.

Cheers,
Jon

How about?

Another 10 miles west along the A4,from Marlborough, just on the left past Cherill, is the Devine Cafe which is getting quite poplar with local bikers.:tarka

Doesn't open till 0900 however.
