Hi all. Im still not too sure about your beloved Gs's, I know people who have them, and they love em.. I suppose one day ill have to try one for myself... but not just yet!

I currently ride a 2 yr old gixxer 1000 its been an ace bike for me, but recently its started to bother my wrists ( that'll be the old age creeping in).

I love touring round europe, ( been 3 times on this bike so far, and another trip coming up in sept) just recently came back from a 10 day 2500mile trip round the black forest, austria, italy & back through germany with my good lady friend on the back, and all the luggage!!

Main reason Ive joined your site?? its a little gold mine full of information.:beerjug: cheers for sharing.

Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, look into the eyes.
You will buy a GS. You will love it. You won't mind the odd fault - it's called 'character'. You will sign onto UKGSER regularly. You will buy your fellow Tossers lots of beer.
One, two, three - you're back in the room

Sorry milsch but you're gonna end up with a GS so you might just as well settle down to the fact and accept it

You obviously enjoy riding your Gixxer ... but your missis will love it on the back of a GS ... she'll fall into your arms after every ride ;)

You know it makes sense ..... :thumb

Welcome to the land of Tossers, now settle down, get your feet up, roll your sleeves up and get stuck in :beerjug:

Hi Milsh
Welcome - you're not the only person without a GS ;)
There's a ton of information here regardless of bike.
Glad you had a brilliant time with Linda. Have a fab time with the boys.
Elle aka Elaine :)

If you're coming from a Gixxer, then don't discount the F800GS. The performance is pretty much identical to the 1200, but it's a bit sportier.

Definately worth testing both.

Keep the GSXR and get a GS or you'll miss the speed the first time you try and overtake anything :thumb2

GS= dog slow, rattly, vibey old things that should have been phased out years ago, but they weren't !!!!!!!

And I luv em:D:D:D:D

On my third, first had 90k and was sound as a pound, sold (betrayed it sniff :( ) for a 5k example and got knocked off. Brought a K1200GT that I rode on 1 trip and sold to get another 1150 that was older and higher miles!
