Hi can anyone recomend rider training for a friend based in north london.
He passed his test abroad 4 yrs ago and has nt ridden since
he has an international licence
he bought a 250 yesterday a really needs a least a day with an instructor
i was going to recomend bike safe but i think he needs some thing first
it was a bit nerve racking the ride back from picking the bike up:eek::eek:
cheers

BMW rider training has just opened a centre in Royston, Herts. I've had two friends do the course in Wales haven never ridden a bike before and it was excellent. Might be worth looking into and it would be a bit better to be off the beat and track before thrown in the the droves on London. I don't know of any personal instructors but can ask my IAM group for a professional if you wish.

:beerjug:a pro 's no. would be good ...someone for a day would really help .The bmw course would probably be out of his budget but i'll pass that on cheers

Yes but I am sure they will do one day instruction or private lessons. Might be worth calling since I am sure they would be keen to get things going. Although it is BMW in name Globebusters is actually the operator.

I had a woman who just passed her test on my bikesafe course, they understand and the fact that further training has been sought favours their attitude

I did ...

... my IAM training with ELAM and it was very reasonable in terms of cost; from their website it appears they now offer ad-hoc training so may be worth a call :thumb
