Well, owing all to my innate sense of organization, and having owned an 1150 GS for three years, I registered here in the end. Just a few weeks after selling the thing.....
I'll no doubt drift back into the fold but I'm just having a bit of a break from BMW's and seeing what a KTM can do. I'm curious to see how the new 1200 will develop over the years and like everyone else wondering how long it will be for a chunkier Adventure spec job emerges. That's it for now, let the mud slinging commence.

Is that the KTM adventure you have gone for? A fine machine I'm sure all would agree - even if they won't admit to it!

Yes the 950S Adventure. I like tall bikes and one where the C of G feels like it's down by your ankles is superb. That was the worse thing about the BM - very top heavy. Suprisingly the rock hard breeze block seat on the KTM does not feel any worse after 5 hours than the GS. Might try an Alaskan sheepskin though.

I'm surprised to hear the C.O.G feels lower on that skyscraper than on your GS Fenlander Strasse......just looking at them i would have thought it would have been the other way around!!

I've never seen a drawing with the COG's marked on either...might be interesting though:)
