Somewhere out there is a fellow GSer who just happens to know all about combi boilers (i hope)
Somethig in the old boiler has broke for some reason i can't get instant hot water any more... I have to turn the heating on to get any....When i turn the tap something sounds as tho it's switching on inside the boiler but it obviously aint, any ideas....It's a Glowworm Swiftflow
Please Help I need a bath!

It's a valve on the water inlet , it's probably all gunged up :(

PS ....... Have the Water Board been replacing the water pipes near you , you might have muck in the valve :)

getting water it's just not hot

Yes mate , it's still your valve .....

It's under pressure , water flows , valve moves , contact made , boiler ignites .

No movement of valve and there no contact so no ignition and the water still goes through your boiler but isn't heated .

Mines a Baxi and i change it about twice a year or when ever they've messed around with the water pipes .

I'm sure some plumby type can explain it better ................. :thumb
