I'd just like to say a big public thank you to Jim McSharry who took time out to show this Essex boy around some of the Dales today.
I had a feeling the sun would come out, and it did although it started raining as soon as the Lake District came back into view!
It is a very beautiful part of our Country. I'm realising that living 'oop North' is actually pretty good. It was the 1st time I've ridden in company with another GS (1150 Adv as opposed to my effete 1200
) and it all began to make a lot more sense.
With a little help from Jim Jefferies had a look at my bike and all was in spec, okay so it doesn't idle as smoothly as it did but they can't actually adjust that! - Progress I suppose. They did it gratis too.
