Looked on amazon and bewildered by the millions of choices:eek

What do you use - looking for something that will protect from scratches/damage, lets me use camera quickly and is black.

Any thoughts?
 
Take a look at Zagg protective film... not cheap at £19.99 from the Carphone Warehouse, but you don't know its there when fitted, and it protects against scratches etc... peels off when you've damaged it, and if you register online you get a replacement for the price of the postage....

I'm on my third 'skin' when the phone packed up I peeled it off, applied for a replacement, and its now on the new one :thumb

Yeah, I've got one of those, as I have a reputation for destroying mobiles and I needed to get the new one into a bounce-proof case as soon as possible after I bought it.

The Otterbox is very protective and all that, but f*** me is it an ugly piece of kit - a bit like wrapping Angelina Jolie in a Susan Boyle suit. Will be looking for a replacement..... :augie
 
Following on from the general theme on here for expensive 'extras' for your GS.......this stuff is very nice...;)
 
There are some really nice carbon fibre ones on eBay......

But do get a screen protector as well.
 
Otterbox, you get what you pay for, but dont buy off e-cell on ebay as they are fake I had to send two back but got a refund.

Had forgotten the bit about lifetime warranty so have registered online. Is there a UK contact if your want to return a skin, though mine is still fine at the moment.

I got the full body one from 7dayshop.com for £12.99 (rrp £19.99) but I checked and they don't do it anymore. Though they do have a whole host of stuff for the iPhone.

The Zagg fits fine with the Apple Bumper.

Their desktop USB Charge & Sync Cradle / Docking Station is good value as well. Did have to file down the apple bumper a bit to get it to charge without removing the bumper each time

Whilst the Wood cover I posted up earlier is nice, I believe I may be succumbing to this in keeping with my username...:D
 
Otterbox Defender series (bought on Amazon £22-ish)................. ugly as sin, but tough as fook. :thumb2
The only negative point about using otterboxes I`ve found is that non OEM chargers and cables won`t fit in to charge the phone, due to the otterbox case bottom recess being rounded, however 30 seconds with a dremmel on the £2 car charger plug, knocking the corners off, soon fixed that. The OEM apple plug fits ok through the case though.

Theres a thread on ADVrider, (with contact details) stating that otterbox will send you a free replacement belt clip, as the clip on earlier models where faulty. however later versions are fine inc mine, but you can still get a spare (free) belt clip by filling the online form........ mine arrived from the states 4 days later

If you need a Zagg replacement you order one online, pay the postage, and you then have 60 days ( I think) to send the old one back to Zagg in Salt Lake City .. A bit of a performance seeing as the replacement one is sent from the UK :eek

I've done it twice now.. and when they get the old one they should confirm that you won't be charged apart from the postage :beerjug:
