Sold my 1200GS last week for personal reasons but not before ironing out some of the niggles, most of them common to others on this forum. Here is a summary of my experience over just 2,500 miles:

- gear selector not working. Turned out that it was faulty, not sealed and there was a clip missing. Had a few hairy rain rides when the indicated gear bore no resemblence to what was happening

- battery flat one morning, no logical explanation. Turned out the bike software needed re-programming.

- pannier wouldn't come off. New locking mechanism installed.

It was and still is a fantastic bike, shame I lost a few days off work and of course riding a courtesy R850 or F650, even for a day, is no substitute for the real thing.

** For those who are interested am selling my BMW RALLYE 2 SUIT and Gloves on ebay from today for 10 days **

I'm very sorry to see it go and am sure the new owner (a UKGSER forum member) will be very happy. Au revoir.

Hello Bodhisattva

I'm sorry you've had to sell yours. I'm thinking of selling mine, too. I appreciate that you might be reticent about this, given that its new home is with another UKGSer, but would you mind telling me what price you got?
