Hi

I have been loaned a Nuvi 350 and would like to try it on me bike to see if all is well and check it out with the MP3 player etc.

I normally use a Quest but want something with better point to point directions and speed camera database so hoping this will work and the built in MP3 save on some wiring.

With the Quest I have a 3.5 mono to 3.5 stereo lead and the autocom bike power interferance thingy doobrie and trust I can use this to connect the Nuvi 350 to my autocom 200 as well? I am having a brain fart moment and would also like to check that it is the mono end of the cable that go's to the Nuvi and stereo end that goes to the Autocom?

I think you'll find that the jack on the Nuvi is a stereo output. Easy way to check - plug in a pair of earphones and see if you get sound in both ears.

The downside to using a Nuvi on a bike is that it's not waterproof so you'll need to sort out something to deal with that. Also, I'm not familiar with the 350 but if you can power it via the USB port, I'd do that. I managed to destroy the mount on my Nuvi 770 in one and a half day's riding last summer even though it was mounted in a RAM cradle.
