Ocean Plymouth - Excellent!

Bought a pair of Pro Summer gloves via ebay from Ocean Plymouth and the service was excellent .. the complete opposite to the folks at BMW GB's own park lane parts dept!!

Got it on a "best offer" deal and they arrived last week. Size was too small :blast .. realised I should have checked the size before ordering and asked if I could return them. NO PROBLEMS.

Also they (Bill) offered to send me a pair in the next size up if I wanted. This they had to order in for. I returned the glove via the post on Monday .. replacement arrived today.

No extra charge for the error I made :thumb2

EXCELLENT COMPANY. I would definitely ring them about BMW stuff in the future.

Thought you might give them a brake at the Parts dept after the last time, I really don`t know why you bother.
 
Used Ocean today. ABS lights would not reset even after Steptoe tried the normal reset.
Got to Ocean after hour plus ride in horrible wet cold conditions. My new heated clothing worked perfectly and I arrived warm and dry. Unfortunately, the bike was extremely filthy and I'm surprised Ocean allowed it into their clean workshop.

After the free coffee and copy of Daily Mail (why do they assume BMW riders are Daily Mail readers?), I had a good look around the dealership as it is a while since I've been there. All stocks of blue twat suits are discounted in advance of the new Rallye 3 suit due in New Year.

Unfortunately, Bill advised me that they needed to keep bike as it was more than just a simple ABS reset. I had powder coated the fork legs last winter and the sensor had not fitted back to the right clearance. Any subsequent bodging was totally my fault and nothing to do with Steptoe.

Ocean needed to keep the bike for further work to fit new sensor so Bill provided me with "59" plate R1200GS as loan bike. This was excellent to ride with extra punch and light weight albeit with inadequate fuel range compared to my 41 litre tank.

Called into Proff on way home if only to see his face when R1200GS parked in his drive. :D (Come on Proff, post the pics):).

As soon as I got home, Bill phoned to advise that they had been able to complete all the work, had fitted the new parts and bike was now 100% perfect for my forthcoming 12,000 mile trip to Africa.

Excellent service from Ocean, many thanks chaps.:)

It was NOT allowed on my drive, you trespassed to turn the thing round before you rode away..

Once again, many thanks for this post. We are trying to improve our service all the time, its nice when that is recognised.
