i bought my 1200GSA from Richard at Ocean 8 months ago, we mainly ride 2 up with luggage and dont hang about. I'd always found the rear to be a bit soft and regularly grounded out the centre stand during spirited cornering. Anyway to cut a long story short I decided to remedy the problem and fit some hyper-pro progressive springs. I emailed Ocean to ask for a fitting quote and a couple of hours later Bill Norris called me at work. He said it wasn't right that I should need to fit replacment springs and suggested I pop down so they could have a look at it. The following weekend Bill looked at my bike and agreed the suspension wasnt what it should be regardless of the preload and damper settings (non-esa) Yesterday I visited Ocean again and had my rear shock replaced under Warranty, an hour and a half and a free coffee later i was on my way. Needless to say it now feels much better and more connected with the road so a BIG thankyou to the lads down at Ocean :thumb

Nice

Thats good news...

Hope they're as accomodating with my heated grip fault !!

This is exactly the kind of experience we are striving to provide to everyone and whilst we don't always get it right, it is heartening to hear when we do.

Genuinely, thank you very much for your comments, I have mailed a copy of this page to everyone involved at Ocean.

I've only dealt with Ocean once when I recently bought my 05 GS.

Whilst I didn't buy it from them, they originally supplied the bike and I rang with a few queries about its history. They couldn't have been more helpful if they tried and if I lived a little closer then I'd definitely go to them for my next GS or to have any work done.

Having said that, Rainbows is my 'local' dealer and their service has so far been exceptional too.

There should be more dealers around like you two, that's what makes owning a BMW so special (well someone's got to make up for BMW's shortcomings!) :thumb

I emailed Richard enquiring about a bike before going to Calterdon the guy was excellent and really helpful.
