Another
for the chaps there.
Don't disregard you local dealership when it comes to buying parts assuming that the best deals are always going to be from independents.
They may not always be able to match the prices of independents but they are often within a few bob, sometimes they are actually cheaper.
Monday I rang Ocean and spoke to Mark and got the prices for new choke and throttle cables. He was able to get within a few pence of the best independent's price.
Today I received a text saying that the parts were in. When I got there I mentioned to Matthew that the e-clip in the splitter-box was broken and to save me buying one of those packets of assorted clips from a motor-factors (and finding that one out of ten assorted sizes only ever gets used), he went and found a couple for me. He didn't have to do that.
In ten years, I've never had a bad experience at Ocean and it just seems to get better.
I may be biased because I remember the days when Ocean's predecessor in the area was a multi-make outfit at Newton Abbot who were shite but it's worth putting my business Ocean's way if it means that there's a bloody good dealership in the area.
All I need to do now is find someone willing to drive me there later so that I can tank-up on their free mulled wine and mince pies.
