ODYSSEY BATTERY maintance

I replaced the battery in the gs with a odyssey gel battery durin the summer
at the moment the bike may lay idle for any time up to two weeks due to
the bike being stored 20 miles away and work committments.I have an optimate battery charger as the battery is relitavely new should i have it on trickle charge.I must add i have no problems starting or with the battery just wondering about maintance.j

the point of those batteries is that they don't need any maintainance surely? i do sod all to mine.


or do you have an alarm draining the battery?

....on the other hand, I leave mine connected to an Optimate. They are quite cracking batteries. My old R100/7 always struggled a bit to start especially in the Winter but the Odyssey battery cured that. I've now swopped it to my P-D.

no alarm draining the battery but what i was worried about
was would it drain if lying idle for up to two week at a time?

i've left mine for weeks & then just started the bike up & gone.

mind you, i do that with lead acid batteries too
