I've seen a few GS's with Toratech Zega cases that have retained the OE indicators.
I've always disliked the Mini Indicators that come with the Sonder-system, if for no other reason that it meant two different types of indicator bulbs as spares.
MetalMule offer a kit to shorten the OE indicator stalks to use with their panniers for about £10.
Here's a way of doing it for less (mine cost me £1).
You need two (stainless preferrably) bolts. I took the OE indicators to my local Stainless supplier and got the same thread as the retaining nuts.
If you take the lens and the bulb holder out of the indicator housing you will see that the stalk is retained by a clamp.
Loosen the clamp and the stalk can be pulled out.
Next, pull the end spacer off the stalk and glue this to the housing with impact adhesive. Make sure that it is the correct way around as the lug needs to go into the hole on the mudguard end to stop the whole thing rotating.
Get a pair of bolts that will leave at least ½ inch of thread protruding when the bolt is held by the clamp (it can be longer as there is plenty of room inside the mudguard).
