Off-road in Herts

It's the track that runs from the Marford Road up to the John Bunyan pub (TL1912-01). Bit of a river at times.

It's all that new vegetation I did not recognise it... (I did in pic 4)

Did you get some air where it crosses the other track :-)

No, we were going up it the other way.

We ride real sedate. Wouldn't want to get a big GS out of shape at speed.

Very glad that I fitted the TKC80s for the off road. My mate regreted not fitting his yet.

Herts gentle off road ride.

A few of us will be venturing out into the lanes of Hertfordshire next Thursday 17th October.

This will be a gentle off road ride because I'm still using the R1150GS and I'm leading the ride.

If you want to join us, we are meeting at the KTM centre in Hemel Hempstead for a 10.00 departure.:aidan

Great pics....:clap
Have you considered joining your local TRF (Trail Riders fellowship)? It sounds like you are keen enough and the organisation are always looking for enthusiastic members, especially those who can do research and help fight the authorities when lane closures are looming.
And a little tip.....try not to use the term 'off-road', believe it or not, a rider had his insurance cancelled without his knowing by his insurance company as a third party had used the phrase.
The byways you are using are public roads, and along with UCRs, that's unclassified county roads, these make up the remaining routes we are able to use with our motorcycles in England and Wales.:thumb2

I believe he is already a herts member, as I am, and the other gs rider who seems to spend more time on the ground.:beerjug:

Perhaps you could lead a ride for the TRF Smug,:thumb2 Sorry can not make it out with you on this occasion.:blast

Perhaps you could lead a ride for the TRF Smug.....

I'd like to visit the area with a larger machine. Keep me posted if a ride is in the making.
I'd probably need a campsite or pub type B&B near the start RV.
