Off road (ish) venue?

start by being able to do figure of 8's up on the pegs using 2 fingers on the clutch and covering but not using the front brake(also 2 fingers), only use the rear brake for this exercise. Being able to do this will dramatically increase your ability to keep your bike upright.

I was out on the lanes at the weekend - very wet and muddy. I wouldn't recommend doing on Tourances. I think the best bet is to wait for summer as the lanes round here are clay based mud and limestone - very difficult in winter but comparatively easy in summer when it has been dry for a while. See Toad's pics earlier in the post.

I would say wait until the weather gets better if you are on Tourances then there will be a lot more places to ride.
