Apologies gentlemen

Sorry guys but I'd have been soaked within 5 mins without waterproof trousers - it was really chucking it down in Ruthin at 9am. It did get better later on and much brighter by 1pm so I decided to do the route in reverse and headed straight of Glyndyfrdwy and Ceiriog Forest.

I didn't see anyone except for a few KTMs until I got back onto the A5 where I saw 3 GS's going towards Llangollen at about 3.45pm. Not sure whether it was any of you?

Looks like I really missed out. Bo**ocks. Where did you get to?

Dusty (not soaked)

Looks like I missed the best bits! :thumb Decided to head for home at 2.00 after a very pleasant morning getting the first scars on my bash plate from some loose Welsh rock! At least it is better than the scar from falling off the centrestand with no wheels on whilst in the garage :o . Found the TCK's to be a lot slippier than expected on tarmac, but no problem on the trails up to where I left. Thanks guys, and gal, look forward to doing it again soon.

(who didn't have a camera with him)

:o :o You're right Mike I was knackered from the previous mile of ruts :sleep

We'll do it again soon

Can you please tell me;
-The roads I see on picture number 2, 3, and 4 in this thread, is that roads called ''A a number'' and ''B a number''?
I wonder if I can ride my Scarver the fun backroads from Bala to Llangollen, roads number B4403, B4393, B4396, B4393, B4580, and B4500, and the roads B4401 and B4402?

The pictures showing you all in water and mud; I do not think that is perfect roads for my beltdriven Scarver or for Knut's K100RS!
We can ride gravel roads for a few miles, if it is hard, but we do not want to have a bath in mud! :eek

:) Liv.

Liv - the roads you see in the pics are mostly what are known as UCRs or "Unclassified Country Roads". They are shown in white on OS maps, if you have any.

Nearly all B roads will have a tarmac surface, some might be a bit muddy but nothing a scarver can't handle :)
